SEP 10 NEWS: Council Elections
Council elections are upon us! Members, have a say in the directions that your profession will pursue. With National Registration now a reality, there are a myriad of opportunities for the profession of optometry – be part of deciding how we’ll take those opportunities! We are now calling for nominations to join the NSW/ACT Division Council – for more information, contact any of the existing Councillors or myself. We’d love to hear from you! Nominations close 20 September 2010.

SEP 10 EVENTS: Tasmania's Lifestyle Congress VI
27-29 August 2010
This year optometrists can earn additional points from attending the TLC if they take advantage of the free option being offered. Not only will you get the normal 2 points for the lecture hour that you attend, but you will have the opportunity of going online and answering 10 questions on each lecture marked * on the program. If you pass, you will be accredited with an additional point for each lecture hour.

SEP 10 REMINDERS: Optometrist Board Registration Renewals
Members would be well aware that the start date for registration renewals under the Optometrists Board Australia is 1 December 2010 (and annually thereafter). Could I ask you to please put that date into your perpetual diaries so that you are always reminded that registrations are due at this time.
