Legal Services Member Initiative
Optometrists Association Australia has formed an alliance with Guild Lawyers for the provision of legal services to members, both employees and employers. The scope of legal services that members have access to under this joint initiative are summarised below.
Who Are Guild Lawyers?
Guild Lawyers is a commercial law firm with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Canberra.
Guild Lawyers provide legal services across a wide range of commercial areas such as:
- Business structuring, including partnership and shareholders' agreements, business succession planning and dispute resolution
- Practice sale and purchase, including document preparation and negotiation
- Leasing advice and negotiation
- Cooperative structures, buying groups and franchising
- Trade practices advice
- Workplace law, including preparation of employment contracts, associated advice and general advice on workplace issues
Member Benefits
Members receive initial telephone advice for up to half an hour free of charge. If a member requires further assistance and decides to retain Guild Lawyers, they will be given a 10% discount off Guild Lawyers' standard charge-out rates.
